About The Art Institute of Pittsburgh
The Art Institute is a media arts, design, and culinary arts post-secondary school that offers bachelor's and associate's degrees. Program Advisory Committees and more than 100 faculty members include working professionals who bring a real-world perspective, work setting and industry standards into the classroom.

Diploma in Digital Design
Creating corporate identity through product packaging, posters, information systems, brochures, and programs, the art of digital design is one of creativity and innovation.
Graduates of the Diploma in Digital Design program are prepared for entry level positions with digital service bureaus, printing companies, and in-house communication departments. During the program, students will study design elements, print production, basic web design, and computer illustration, in addition to other skills critical to success as a digital designer.
Diploma in Residential Planning
With courses taught by Interior Design faculty who are practicing professionals, the Diploma in Residential Planning program is a hands-on approach that is also offered online. With skills such as furniture placement, drafting, color selections, AutoCAD and residential planning at the heart of the program, graduates of this program are prepared to seek employment as a retail sales associate, kitchen and bath planner, or product purchaser.
Diploma in Web Design
Beginning with the basic skills of interactive design, the Diploma in Web Design program is designed to equip students with the skills needed in this booming industry. In addition to coursework in information architecture and interactive media, students also study motion scripting and interactive scripting language.
Associate of Science in Video Production
A 21-month program, the Associate of Science in Video Production program provides relevant and innovative training for those looking to enter the industry of video production.
Focusing on camera operations, studio and location productions, editing, and scripting, students of this program will learn to work as part of a creative team. In addition, students will study and use relevant computer applications, non-linear editing, and create a video from start to finish.
Associate of Science in Graphic Design
Focusing on hands-on experience, the Associate of Science in Graphic Design degree instructs students in the techniques of graphic design, computer graphics, illustration, computer graphics, and desktop publishing.

Associate and Bachelor of Science in Photography
Beginning with a 21-month program, the AS in Photography program teaches and develops the skills of design, visual expression, digital imaging, and color. In addition, students of this program study various camera techniques, and gain an understanding of light composition and perfect techniques in order to capture compelling images.
The Bachelor of Science program expands on these skills, and the coursework of the BS program is greater in depth and rigor.
