About The CHI Institute - Southampton, Pennsylvania

The mission of CHI Institute is to provide higher education with quality programs that integrate professional skills and career focus to empower students in developing and achieving both their personal and career potentials. The Southampton campus consists of three adjoining buildings totaling 42,000 square feet. This campus is situated on a 5 1/2-acre site in the northeast suburbs of Philadelphia. The School is accessible from the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-276), I-95, Street Road (Route 132), Second Street Pike (Route 232), and Roosevelt Boulevard (Route 1).

Graphic Design Program

The Graphic Design program is designed to provide students with the combination of communications skills, artistic ability, and design sensibilities needed to compete and excel in the graphic and advertising design fields. Skills acquired in this program will enable the student to draw attention to and to communicate the intended message in a simple and effective manner, using both words and images. The program will cover design for both print (publishing) and multimedia (kiosk and web page). Daily hands-on training is provided using both Macintosh and PC computer platforms. Graduates may work "in-house" for companies involved in publishing or manufacturing, but may also work for independent design or advertising firms serving many different clients. The graphic design and advertising industries also allow for the success of the single, independent artist.

Graduates of the Graphic Design program may seek employment in the following:

•advertising design
•publication design
•multimedia or web page design.

• Accredited by The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT)
• Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Private Licensed Schools.
• Approved under the provisions of Title 38, United States Code, to train eligible persons and veterans.
• Approved as a Microsoft IT Academy training provider for Microsoft products.
• Authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant, alien students

Southampton is located in Bucks County approximately 25 miles north of Philadelphia. Many attractions are available in this area.
