The College of Westchester offers students the opportunity to begin exciting new careers with eighteen month degree programs or improve their existing careers with nine month certificate programs. CW focuses on training students for the in-demand jobs of today; an Advisory Council meets to review curriculum and make sure it is relevant and updated.

Multimedia Development and Management Program
Graphic design jobs are projected to grow faster than average, and competition is growing along with it. In order to start a successful career, job candidates need a strong foundation and a degree. The College of Westchester offers a Multimedia Development and Management degree that allows students to gain hands-on experience on tools that are industry-current.
Students work on technical skills and portfolio building in this 72 credit program. To become even more hirable, students can choose among three concentrations, which include Web Design and Development, Digital Video and Animation, and Game Design.
Students choosing the Web Design and Development concentration focus on design and development, where students learn color, design, and site models. This concentration is an additional 15 credits. In the Digital Video and Animation concentration students will learn skills that will be useful in web design, film, television, architecture, commercials, game design, forensics, and medical imaging.
This concentration involves an additional 12 credits. The Game Design Concentration focuses on the process of developing a video or computer game, including marketing and sales. Students will complete a basic working prototype and complete 15 credits. Applicants are required to have a high school diploma or GED and complete a personal interview.
Licensing and Accreditation
The College of Westchester is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. CW is granted the right to award Associates in Applied Science Degrees (AAS) and Associates in Occupational Studies Degrees (AOS) by the New York State Education Department Office of Higher Education and the Professions.
Faculty and Facilities
The student to faculty ratio is about 16:1. With small classes, faculty members have time to get to know each of their students and offer personalized instruction, criticism, and encouragement.
CW has twenty-two classrooms, computer lab, student lounge, study/tutoring center, library, and faculty offices. Surrounded by hundreds of businesses in the White Plains area, CW graduates have excellent job prospects. In addition, CW also offers students many extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Of particular interest to Multimedia Development and Management students may be the Multimedia Club. There is a lot to do at the College of Westchester.
Financial Aid
The College of Westchester participates in federal student aid programs. In addition, CW also has institutional scholarships, grants, and loans for qualifying students. Students can also set up payment plans. Representatives are happy to meet with students for an in-depth consultation.
