About Briarcliffe College - Patchogue, New York
Briarcliffe College has been providing career education to Long Island residents for over 35 years. Patchogue is the most recent of its three campuses. Briarcliffe has three main goals: to prepare students for professional careers, to encourage students to develop personally as well as professionally and to become life-long learners, and to graduate professionals who meet the needs of today’s employers.
They accomplish those goals by providing academically challenging, relevant, career focused programs. They welcome both traditional and non-traditional students and have both traditional and non-traditional learning formats to enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for professional careers.
Briarcliffe is not a liberal arts school; rather, it provides specialized education but incorporates liberal arts classes so that students become well-educated professionals with the specialized knowledge required for their particular careers. As educated professionals, graduates are able to think critically, communicate effectively and apply theoretical concepts in the workplace.
Briarcliffe is committed to helping students develop as whole persons, and they have several athletics programs for both men and women.
