The Art Institute is a media arts, design, and culinary arts post-secondary school that offers bachelor's and associate's degrees. AOS in Art & Design Technology - Graphic Design
Beginning with the development of basic skills in painting, illustration, typography, and design, the AOS Graphic Design program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in visual communications. With an emphasis in traditional design and computer graphics, students of this program will develop creative problem solving skills, and develop their own portfolio.
AOS in Art & Design Technology - Interior Design
Preparing students for entry-level positions as a planner, designer, or junior architectural drafter, the AOS in Interior Design program focuses on the theory and guiding principles of the industry. As students move through the program, they will study all aspects of design, including three-dimensional space, historical and cultural considerations, and how to interface with other professions.
AOS in Art & Design Technology - Web Design & Interactive Media
A 7-quarter program, the AOS in Web Design program develops a strong foundation of image manipulation, drawing, design, multimedia system design, sound, video and animation.
As students progress through the program, they will learn about animation, and integrating sound, images, and text in order to complete a project. In addition, students will develop and individualized portfolio.
AOS in Art & Design Technology - Video Production
A 21-month program, the AOS in Video Production degree prepares graduates for entry-level positions in the fields of marketing, training, advertising, and multimedia. Students of this program will first develop a solid foundation in the use of a video camera, and will move on to more advanced topics, including non-linear editing, post-production techniques, and multi-camera productions.
