Life in rOSEVILLE/Minneapolis, Minnesota
Roseville is within 7 miles of downtown Minneapolis - the largest city in Minnesota. It adjoins Saint Paul and together they form the core of the Twin Cities. The city is in the southeast portion of the state and sits along the Mississippi River. There are 24 small lakes in the city giving it the nickname "City of Lakes." Minneapolis claims to have the highest per capita attendance at theater and arts events outside of New York City. In order to help revitalize the downtown and warehouse district areas, the city purchased and renovated a few theaters to create the Hennepin Theatre District that includes the State, Orpheum, and Pantages theatres.
The Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis is the largest non-juried performing arts festival in the United States.
