As an educational institution, Globe University/Minnesota School of Business has been serving the Twin Cities area for over 130 years. It was originally two separate schools (Globe College and Minnesota School of Business) that operated along the same general career preparation lines. Globe College was founded in 1885 and Minnesota School of Business opened its doors in 1877. The focus has always been on preparing graduates for employment in cutting-edge professional fields. The school is qualified to bestow technical diplomas, Associate degrees, Bachelor degrees, and Master degrees in varied fields.

Music Business
An Associated of Applied Science program, the Music Business major at Globe University focuses on the skills that graduates will need in order to successfully negotiate with managers, artists, record companies, and film companies. In addition to learning how to facilitate and understand the needs of the artists, students will also gain an understanding of the business world as it relates t the music industry.
Equipping students with the skills needed in order to supervise recording projects, and portray a professional business image, the Music Business program will prepare graduates to seek entry-level employment at record labels, radio stations, production houses, and TV stations. In addition coursework will prepare students to pursue self-employment through their own music business venture.

GU/MSB is registered with the Iowa Department of Public Instruction.
