Graphic Arts Student - IBrookline, MAThe Art Institute is a media arts, design, and culinary arts post-secondary school that offers bachelor's and associate's degrees. Program Advisory Committees and more than 100 faculty members include working professionals who bring a real-world perspective, work setting and industry standards into the classroom.

Programs are offered on a year-round basis and are reviewed by faculty and industry professionals to ensure they meet the needs of a changing marketplace. The school partners with national and local employers to help ensure an education that benefits both students and employers.

Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking and video Production

Preparing students for an entry-level positions such as nonlinear editor, digital film production assistant, video producer and assistant sound designer, the Bachelor of Science in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production degree is a 12, 11-week quarter program.

With instruction from some of the industry's top professionals, this program will guide students in the industry's latest techniques, technologies and theories, allowing them to apply them in their own productions. Students will gain an understanding of delivery media, including cable, internet, broadband, and broadcast, and will design projects specifically targeted at each of these mediums.

Associate of Science in Audio Production

An Associate of Science degree program, the Audio Production curriculum at The New England Institute of Art is designed to give graduates the skills needed in order to pursue a career as a audio technician, producer, or other audio-related career field. Starting with the industry practices and theoretical concepts of audio production, the AS in Audio Production degree curriculum also includes hands-on instruction in the areas of production and audio engineering.

Associate of Science in Broadcasting

Available at The New England Institute of Art as an Associate of Science degree program, the Broadcasting curriculum is designed for those who dream of a career in the audio industry. Associate and Bachelor of Science in Photography

Beginning with a 21-month program, the AS in Photography program teaches and develops the skills of design, visual expression, digital imaging, and color. In addition, students of this program study various camera techniques, and gain an understanding of light composition and perfect techniques in order to capture compelling images.

The Bachelor of Science program expands on these skills, and the coursework of the BS program is greater in depth and rigor. Graduates of the BS program are prepared to seek employment as a photojournalist, photo graphic editor, or independent/freelance photographer, while AS graduates are prepared to work as photographic assistants, photo-lab technicians, or digital imaging artists.

Bachelor of Science in Fashion & Retail Management

Focusing on the principles of advertising, management, merchandising, and marketing, the Bachelor of Science in Fashion & Retail Management degree program is designed to give students a solid foundation in the application of design concepts. Focusing the design process, students of this program will study the histories of modern art and design, master computer-aided drafting programs, and create effective design solutions by studying ergonomics, lighting, building codes, acoustics, and furniture design. Bachelor of Science in Media Arts & Animation

A 12, 11-week quarter program, the Bachelor of Science in Media Arts & Animation is a great launching pad for a career in computer animation. Mastering the skills of design, drawing, and image manipulation, students learn to create animation using different types of computer animation software.

Emphasizing project management and art direction, students will build 3-D models, in addition to editing and modifying video and composite 2-D and 3-D animation. Upon graduation, students are prepared to enter the workforce as 2-D and 3-D animators, broadcast graphic artists, and special effects animators, in addition to other arts and animation specialties.

Bachelor of Science in Advertising

Bridging the gap between artists, advertising professionals and technologists, the Bachelor of Science in Advertising degree is a twelve, 11 week quarter program that will prepare students for positions in advertising, in addition to entry-level employment as a advertising artist, creative director, or account executive.
