Video Game Design Program
Keiser University’s Associate of Science in Video Game Design presents the processes and skills required to perform game design and development. Students are immersed in creative and conceptual areas such as character development, 3-D modeling and animation, game documentation, game balance, interactive story telling and interface development.
Design program objectives include developing a student’s ability to demonstrate knowledge of computer-based 3-D modeling, animation theory and techniques, level design and architecture, texturing and lighting, preparing graduates for jobs as entry-level game programmers, modelers, animators, level designers, texture mappers and story developers. In addition, the program will develop a student’s ability to think critically and communicate effectively, and assists students with development of programming languages and game engines.
While there are no prerequisites for major courses, students must earn 88 credit hours to receive an Associate of Science degree in Video Game Design.
Computer Graphics and Design
Keiser University offers an Associates of Science Degree Program in Computer Graphics and Design. Students learn to communicate graphically with a targeted audience by learning aspects of layout, advertising, multimedia, video editing, web design, illustration, 3D modeling, and animation.

Computer Aided Drafting
Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Computer-Aided Drafting develops design techniques and skills that satisfy entry-level requirements as a general designer in a CAD environment. Students explore the theoretical design process in architecture, mechanical, civil, electronic and structural engineering, together with 3-D modeling and 3-D animation specialties. In addition to traditional design training, hands-on computer-assisted design is applied to all disciplines.
The following objectives are designed to meet Keiser University’s mission and objectives and include developing a student’s ability to design, draft and animate effectively using accepted industry standards, preparing students for jobs in animation and in architectural, civil, mechanical, structural and electronic engineering fields, and assisting students in becoming proficient with electronic drafting and animation software.
