Graphic Design Program

California Design College offers both an associate’s and a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. The associate of science degree is a seven quarter program, requiring students to complete 112 credits. The bachelor’s program is a twelve quarter program which requires completion of 192 credit hours. In both programs, the focus is on print production, typography, motion graphics, image manipulation, sales promotion, graphic illustration, photography, electronic publishing, and packaging design.

Both programs qualify students to begin entry-level work in fields such as advertising, graphic design, publishing, and television. Bachelor’s students are given the opportunity to intern, which further enhances their learning and experience, making them more marketable upon graduation.

Web Design and Interactive Media

Graphic Art Design Students Los AngelesThis major is offered as both an associate’s and a bachelor’s program. The associate’s program is seven quarters and requires completion of 112 credit hours. The bachelor’s program is twelve credits and requires completion of 192 credit hours. In both, students learn technical skills necessary to compete in the web design and interactive media field by developing skill in drawing, math, science, design, image manipulation, interactive architecture, digital sound, streaming video, animation, and multimedia scriptwriting.

Web Design and Interactive Media students learn to use animation tools to integrate sound, images, text, animation, and video to complete a cohesive product. They have access to the most industry-current software and computer programs to help them learn the skills necessary for future employment as web artists, multimedia artists, web designers, sound designers, production managers, video editors, multimedia graphic artists and designers, and more. The bachelor’s program for Web Design and Interactive Media also offers internship opportunities for students.
